The morning mist disperses shadows' fears,
and clearly there appears a dawning glow.
I’d trouble making friends among my peers
and wander’d where I wouldn’t wish to go.
It’s not as if I really wanted you
when I had all these other things to do.
The sun dispels the darkness of the night
and opens up the air of all the day.
My family betray’d all that is right
and warm’d me well to wend the wicked way.
It’s not as if I ever needed you
since I have all these other things to do.
Your cruelty and your spite,
O my darling heartless honey,
disappear beneath the light.
*giggle* .. I think it’s funny. :D
O rays of light pour down through clouds of grey
revealing rivers flowing past the vale,
and ev’ry lover ends up in the clay,
a widow’s weeping willow wedding wail.
It’s not as if I’d fall in love with you,
for I’ll have all these other things to do.
love,
Elsie
