first, first

I started working on this on Monday and then pretty much dropped off...

2008
January: Last year, on December 5, I thought that this year's December 5 would be filled with memories and anguish and nostalgia. But in actuality, I didn't even notice it until it had passed and when I realized that, my only thought was, "Oh."

February: On Friday I was awake for 20 hours, working most of that time. When I went to sleep my back hurt.

March: We’re supposed to move in tomorrow.
Martha’s Vineyard just called me and told me that I’ve been denied.

April: Know what happens when you get too enthusiastic about picking your nose? It bleeds.

May: Know what the best part about sleeping alone is? EVERYTHING!!!

June: I love.

July: Rainbow Gathering was lovely and amazing and totally beautiful and totally loving. I adored it immensely and am glad to be at home, in my apartment with my stuff and my Me Time.

August: I feel so fucked up in the head. I don't know what I'm doing; I don't know what I want.

September: MORE PRESSING!: In the midst of writing this, while I should have been getting ready for work, my mommy called.

October: Today I:

  • Picked up my check from the research place where they yanked out my wisdom teeth. (FINALLY!) It was way fucking late.
  • Had a talk with Atom...

November: Work has been pretty great so far. Lots of stuff to learn.

2007
January: A lot has happened since the last update. I'll try to give you the skinny in the skinniest way possible.

February: I've decided that I want to create a photoblog, which means I need to find a photoblogging site.

March: I'm sitting outside. On the back porch.

April: Today has been chock-full of adventure. I began the morning by returning to House of Pies (HoP) to beg for a job.

May: I thought about writing about this in my previous, public post, but eventually decided against it. There's no need for me to... I don't know, I can't put it into words, but it seems like a bad idea, poor judgment.

June: My brother and soon-to-be-ex-sister-in-law fight like children. It's amazing.

July: We took a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and it was absolutely amazing.

August: Finally back in Hawaii. Work starts on Wednesday.

September: I just deleted 4 years' worth of e-mails from Lucas. Love notes, expressions of frustration, friendship e-mails, IM transcripts, pictures...

October: Sunday evening Nikki and I made a gravity bong. It was intense and hysterical and we're still using the two plastic coke bottles and the makeshift aluminum bowl to smoke it uppppp.

November: LIVE, FROM AUSTIN, TEXAS!

December: This girl right here, after much, MUCH apartment searching has finally found a place which seems acceptable to both parties. Eeeeeeeeee!!

2006
January: The end of January and my first entry of the month. It’s been very full of everything, so I’ll just dish out a basic skim.

February: I love the click of my high heels against the floor. That click makes me feel authoritative and grown up.

March: He said that faith is like a glass of water. When you're young, the glass is small, and it's easy to fill up.

April: I'm feeling so suddenly so completely, utterly alone. It seems like the people I thought were standing right next to me have long departed.

May: Today is my 21st birthday. You can wish me a happy birthday, if you like.

June: I'll be in Houston on the 20th of this month until the 25th. I know it's really a very short time, but that's about all I can take from my job.

July: This past weekend (July 3) was officially 33 and I's 1 year anniversary. He got me a ring.

August: Also: I got a tattoo this morning that makes me giggle a lot. It's really awesome and Vinnie is awesomer than you are.

September: The last few days have been mighty interesting.

October: My mother and I got in a big fight last week, which is relatively unusual. Typically she and I sit around and agree on the stupidity of others and giggle and say thanks that we're not like that.

November: On the way home from Katherine's (minorlight) this evening I had this great idea: people ought to get rewarded, to some extent, for consistently good driving.

December: Here are a few answers for you: No, I'm not ok. No, there's nothing that you can do.

2005
January: This will be a seamless change, and I will write here as if I have always been writing here.

February: feel like I haven't adequately enlightened you on the whole strip club experience. I will do so.

Saturday night, in the midst of the freezing cold (When is it not freezing cold in this damn state?), Byron, Edward (Byron's friend from Ohio.), Butch (Byron's roommate), Amber, and I ventured out to Smiles, a seedy topless, bottomless strip club in Poughkipsie.

March: I think I have been recently sort of welcomed into a new group of people. I've been hanging out with people from the cafe recently.

April: Ok, try to contain your excitement. The much anticipated pictures of my trip to PA are available exclusively on my ElJay!

May: Breakfast: microwave popcorn. Classy, huh?

June: Boy howdy, I've been busy! I was listening to Alanis' "Unsent" yesterday in the car and realized that it's eerily... eerie, for lack of a better word.

July: I can't tell you what a fabulous time I had at the Fourth of July Bash! It seemed like damn near all of Sandy Hook was there and it was wonderful the sense of camaraderie that the air was so intensely laden with.

August: Yowzers. It's August 22 and this is my first update of the month.

September: I'm moving in with 33 this weekend.

October: I have things to say, but I'm feeling so lethargic. I'll tell you later.

November: I think it's funny that LiveJournal still has Halloween decorations up on All Saints' Day.

December: I'm at work, but I seem to have a few free minutes. It's strange because it's kind of nice to have a little free time, but I really love my work so much that I actually want to be productive and busy.
