Summer has come and past, the innocent can never last
It's pretty hard to describe how I've been feeling the past couple
days. It's all been a mixture of hurt, disappointment, relief,
frustration, and calm. There have been things that have happened to me
throughout the past few weeks that I think I both did and did not
deserve. All of this leads me to one conclusion:
If I was the least bit determined to have a fantastic senior year before, I'm hell-bent on having one now.
Life happens to us for a reason. We make mistakes, we say and do things that we may look back on and regret later, but regardless, we always come out on the other side better and stronger than we were before.
This is the one thing in life that I'm sure of.
People were either meant to be in your life or they weren't. I'm just glad that the ones that have stuck around with me did so, I'm extremely lucky to have friends like mine. They accept me with or without my faults. They listen to me. They're reassuring.
But from here on out, I'm moving past all the negativity that was around me, even before this past weekend. I deserve better.
The best part is, I will get it. In fact, I already have it.
This is going to be an amazing senior year, full of fantastic memories and events and people and stories. Oh the stories we have already...;)
