Which courses to cut?

The above article is pretty fucking painful reading. I know the Solent isn't exactly in the same league but this feels awkward, like watching your parents dance at a wedding. I can just see her getting bookings based on that degree. Maybe she could take an MSc in stripping?
I lost a lot of respect for the place when I ended up chatting to a lecturer from their art department who was a bit lost in the comic section of Waterstones. She had to do a lecture on politics and comics or similar, and so the day before purchased a copy of Persepolis. Unacceptable crapness.
The point of a university, like any arm of the government, is to increase the wealth of the people. Fail fail fail.
And by "wealth" I mean the best ratio of ( access to cool stuff (owning it is irrelevant), positive experience, long and healthy life) to ( unsustainable damage to the environment, use of non-renewable resources, man hours * crapness of work)
