I'm done with EN4226! … I'm not that proud of it, since I could've completed it much earlier … I am, however, proud of -- and a little stymied about -- the fact that I bumped it up to 6,215 words. This is, hands down, the longest essay I've written as an NUS student. (The longest one, period, regardless of which course it was for, goes to the paper on horror films that I wrote for ISP. The final word count for that, not counting the bibliography and appendices: 6,887. Huh … close enough, though.)

The next hurdle to overcome: EN3274. I like the story, but I don't know if what I'm saying about it has any merit, and this "Oh, fuck, this isn't going to go anywhere, anyway" attitude is what's turning me off. It also doesn't help that I'm sick: I came down with a cold on Tuesday. I'm a little better now. I'm kind of hoping that this will be a repeat of the time I got an A for a paper I wrote while I was sick, LOL. (Same lecturer, too!)

I think I'll come up with an outline for EN3274 after this, and then write a bit at night (… like, 250 words. That's still 10% of the word limit!). I'll complete the rest when I'm at Paka (leaving tomorrow!) … hopefully.

My order from Kinokuniya should arrive either tomorrow or on Saturday. I didn't have to email or call them, thank God. Nonetheless, the reason for their delay? They couldn't find one of the books I ordered, because there's only one copy left -- it's like a needle in a haystack, apparently. It's okay, though; it's not a book I must have this instant. (It's the paperback for Charlaine Harris's Dead Reckoning, if you were wondering.)

Hey, want to know something interesting? I racked up 110 plays for Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" over the past three days. YEAH. Gonna listen to it non-stop in the car tomorrow.
