Do you want to know how I got these graphic novels?

Firstly, the trailer for Watchmen blew me away, even if I had no idea what was happening then. (I'm taken in by trailers that don't spoon-feed the audience, I suppose. Case in point: ... I don't have one at the moment. Does The Dark Knight count as having a vague trailer, considering it told nothing about the plot other than that at one point, the Joker and Batman engage in a smackdown that involves a truck flipping over?) I also figured that come March 2009, when the movie's released, it'd be out of stock as fast as the glimpse of Doctor Manhattan's penis in the trailer was. Ergo, since I'd most likely become a fan after watching the movie, I thought I'd get it as soon as possible before then. Besides, I could familiarise myself with its universe beforehand, and perhaps even become one of those highly critical, nitpicking fans, ever so wary of the movie's accuracy. "No, it's supposed to be like this, goddammit!" No, I kid, I kid.

Then, I was a big fan of Batman: The Long Halloween. I loved the art and the story, and when I came to the end, I felt the same way I did when The Dark Knight ended: sad. So imagine my astonishment when I found out there was a sequel! If it could be put into words, it'd be like, "HOLY SHIT, I MUST HAVE IT YESTERDAY!" I finished reading it, actually, because as expected, it was so unputdownable. I love how it resonates so strongly with the two recent Batman films. In addition, it's reignited my love for Poison Ivy, even if her role in both novels was so-so. Expect something to reflect this consciousness in my upcoming Sims pictures.

Now you know!

Moving on, I spent a good portion of yesterday chortling over this:

It's like Blockbuster read my mind! Batman's got one too, of course, but the choice of his location and pose is something left to be desired.

I need to clean up my Sims downloads. That epiphany came to me as I was downloading recolours from Piggi's Sims; specifically, it was, "Okay, why the hell am I downloading so much when I've got all these recolours? Plus, did I not start getting stuff packs so I'd stop downloading like there's no tomorrow?" I'm also getting fed up of the loading time. It's not a lot by any means, or if you compare it to other people's, but damn, I'm running out of things to do while I'm waiting! Likewise, I'd like to get to my game as soon as possible, seeing as time is of the essence lately. I intend on halving it, if possible; currently, it's at 3.35 GB. I foresee myself working on it during Hari Raya ... I hope I don't download more in between.
