Halloween
I'm going over to my brother and SiL's tonight for trick-or-treat hosting in their neighborhood. (Not that many kids in my neighborhood.) On Sunday, SiL mentioned that she had a costume for Ollie -- he's going to be Scabbers, wearing her rat puppet as a costume. So, I thought I'd better get a costume for Floyd so he won't be left out.
I didn't get around to stopping by Pet Supplies Plus until this afternoon, when I found that they had already sold out of their Halloween costumes except for one cat costume that wouldn't fit Floyd. In fact, they were putting out the Christmas stuff. The best I could do was an "elf" hat that would fit Floyd.
So, Floyd is going as Dobbie tonight. I took an old pillowcase and cut head and leg holes, and drew patches on the back and dirt smudges. He'll wear it with the elf hat and be Dobbie the House Elf (before he was emancipated, of course).
I'm not putting the hat on him until we're over at my brother's because I don't want him to shake it off in the car. But he looks rather Dobbie-like, doesn't he?
