There is blooming happening in my yard!

This is the first begonia basket I've had in years. I rather like it.

Another angle.

One of my two clematis has started to bloom. It's absolutely covered with buds. It's going to be spectacular when it really gets going.

Another angle.

Back in April when I took Floyd for his annual vet checkup, he was about 11 pounds overweight. I've been cutting back on his rations (slightly -- he gets a not quite full cup at each meal rather than a heaping cup) and taking him on my walks. I think it's showing some results.

This and the other baskets I planted myself aren't very full yet. But I'll post more pictures when they get going better.

I planted six iris last fall. Five of them survived the winter. This is the first one to bloom. The other's haven't even put up buds yet.

There seems to be an Ollie in this picture. You might think I caught him mid stride because of the odd posture. But no, he's completely frozen, watching me like a hawk to see if I'm really going back inside, or just faking him out. As soon as he was sure I was sincere about going back inside, he took off like he'd heard a starter pistol.

This year's fuschia is blooming very much down below. I expect to see more blooms all over as the summer goes on. Oh! There's Ollie again.

Ollie seems to think he doesn't have enough greens in his diet. (It's just grass he's eating, and no lawn chemicals have been used in this area.)

Another of the baskets I planted. It needs to fill out some.
