I saw the Royal Tenenbaums again today, courtesy of this free in-demand service with the cable provider that's been my new toy. A lot of people I talked to didn't like the movie, for any number of wholly respectable reasons. Personally, its my favorite movie (I also enjoy the Ninth Gate and Barry Lyndon). Its a spectacle of humanity, superb visual affects - and brilliant characters, each one relatable. Maybe I think so because I'm crazy, but no matter. Its like a brilliant painting, maybe La Tour, or Vermeer.
Other than that
I get up, I go to the gym for a couple hours, run errands. Need a job until July 8th, no takers (obviously) and Adecco's having a slow run. No worries, mate.
Everyday there are 10 neighborhood children in the house. This number grows everyday, a roving horde of 3rd-6th graders who eat everything and move from house to house in the neighborhood. Today, my three siblings and this horde took my dog to someone else's house and pushed him in a pool. Cruel only because he's never been in water before, but I guess he swam his way out. Poor old guy.
My dog's a miniature french poodle - but the low maintenance crazy hair kind. I turned him into a real man's dog. He was my 7th birthday present, on which occaision I christened him Theodore Hohenzollern von Brandenburg-Weiss.
Juliana of the Netherlands was my fourth cousin. I painted a watercolor of a field the other day. South Dartmouth and Westport are the prettiest areas in massachusetts by my reckoning.
