Mr. Zagata
It seems funny that after nearly a month of student teaching I was not able to sleep last night. I think it had a lot to do with it being a new week and the start of my first lead teaching segment.
I was thinking today that I have not really had a bad day at school. Sure there were hours and days that were long and tiring, but nothing that took the wind out of my sails. (Oh cliches. Students can't use them in their papers, but I sure as hell can on LJ.) Life is good.
The first day of lead teaching went really well. Students seemed receptive to my plans, and it looked like they took to the review (they have their first test on wednesday) pretty well.
I'm finally starting to get used to being called Mr. Zagata. It's still funny when students yell my name at sporting events, but more because I start to think about it later.
