Puppy Hunting

(continued from here)

*when Mike appears* What? Of course I have no patience. I've been locked up in Imladris, bored for a couple of months.

*looks at the entrance to the cave* Um...Last time we were here, we almost got eaten, or various other ways of dying. Ready to do it again? *grins*

[Delivered late Christmas Eve:]

By virtue of mass-merchandising, Mike manages to get his hand on plushy versions of the entire main cast of Lord of the Rings, including some fuzzy toy Orcs, Goblins and Trolls. He sneaks into Rivendell and arranges them in tableaux, a tiny toy world battle. Smothering giggles, he sneaks back out, laughing loudly the moment he's far enough away not to be over heard.

Elrohir wakes up early in the morning and takes a walk through Imladris...nothing new. He is so distracted in thought that he doesn't see the plushie battle until he steps in the middle of it, messing it all up.

With a wave of his hand, he sends the plushies back to their original positions and a smile comes across his face.

Thank you Mike..., he silently sends off.

Mike, I am wondering, why do humans give presents to each other at this time of year. I've never been able to fully understand it, for among the elves, we have no traditions like this. Could you imagine how much junk we would have collected if we gave and received presents every year of our life? I guess living for thousands of years lessens some desires.
