Hawthorne Heights
So these kids today are listening to these two bands I want to talk about. Number one is Hawthorne Heights, which is absolutely the shittiest fucking band in the history of anything, and if you've seen/heard anything they've put out you know this to be the case. The other is Avenged Sevenfold, who are also a really shitty band, but they have one song that's fucking incredible. That song of course is "The Beast and the Harlot," and if you haven't heard that shit go listen. Better still try to watch the video. Insatiable!
Hawthorne Heights also irritates me because they (or their label, victory records) initated this bizarre crypto-racist campaign to "Save Real Rock Music" from the terrors of corporatization, which they defined as the Ne-Yo album which hit the same day as their shitty record. Victory people got caught with emails telling kids to go hide the ne-yo album etc. The ironic thing here is that the ne-yo album is actually pretty OK, which makes it Goddamn Ready to Die compared to the Hawthorne Heights album, WHICH SPAWNED ITS OWN SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE CALLED THISISWHOWEARE.COM AT ONE POINT AAAAAAAGH.
