That's funny. I am told by many that I do not have the New England accent, depsite growing up there. Though maybe I don't, and that's why you like it. :)
(The New England accent is not terribly flattering.)

I've done the same with my kentucky accent.

Yeah, but the Kentucky accent is so much more musical than the New England nasally nonsense.
