Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!?

Sorry Summachos...I know you hate the Pats, but...
For those who were not paying attention, the Pats won tonight. OK, so a post-season win, not really a big deal for the 2-time Superbowl champions. But in doing so, they set 5 - that's right, naysayers, count 'em out loud, 5 - postseason records. For those who want to know how important this is...
One of those records is longest winning streak by a coach in the postseason. Before tonight, it was Vince Lombardi with 9. After tonight it's Bill Belichick with 10. Why does this matter? Because the Superbowl trophy is called the Vince Lombardi trophy, named after him for his dominance in the postseason. Well, I for one would like to see it now called the Bill Belichick trophy, as he has certainly earned it. (And this, keep in mind, with a salary cap, keeping teams from buying a championship-caliber team. And not one of those namby-pamby baseball salary caps; this one is firm.)
For those who are still with me, for this record to be broken, a team would have to win 11 straight postseason games (and mind you, the Pats may keep this streak going). It will take 3 years, starting from tomorrow, for another team to break this record.
Can we all say it? That's right, even if it was copywritten by Pat Riley, let's all chant: 3-peat! 3-peat! 3-peat!
For those *still* with me, here's the list of all 5 records set tonight:
1 - Postseason winning streak set by a coach (10)
2 - Postseason winning streak set by a team (10)
3 - Postseason winning streak set by a quarterback (10*)
4 - Sacks in a single postseason game (4.5)
5 - Total career postseason sacks (16)
These last two were set by Willie McGinest, whose family used to live in my hometown, and whose mother used to work at the CVS next to the supermarket I worked in. She's a nice woman, and I'm glad to see her son succeed.
*Let's also keep in mind that Tom Brady has yet to lose in the postseason. He's a perfect 10 for 10.
Yeah, we can all celebrate tonight.
