Arg, my sister said he was a masochist, too. But he says stuff like that in the anime, too. "The pain is noting" (episode 3, I think) and so on. I guess when it comes to Al though, Ed is a masochist (but there's nothing wrong with that).

Indeed there isn't...I believe that there are people who have been through so much, that the insane things later make them dull to the routine things, and the need the hyped up pain to remember it's there...

Well, I do write a lot of fanfiction. If you're in to LOTR and like Aragorn/Arwen fluffy romance, I wrote three pieces that are posted on my lj (just go back to the first few entries ever to find them). Then, if you don't mind reading non-Elricest fic, I have a long project entitled "The Truth" (also visible on my lj, although a bit more recent). That one's incomplete and is my current project. This was a wonderful fic. Showers and all. I could trace through Ed's life while watching him in the shower. That is a unique trait that you put into this story. I like it. Thank you. ^^

Thanks. When I was writing it, I thought is would be interesting to show how Ed changes and how his attitude about Al changes slightly, but that he has always put Al before himself and for Ed to realize that Al might not always be there. I love showing change in Edward because he changes so much by the end of the series and probablly a lot by the end of the movie, too (I haven't seen it yet--I'm waiting for the DVD).
