(no subject)
So, I started my new job with Percepta today. It's a call center
for Ford Motors. All customer service, no sales. The pay is decent, but I was quite surprised with all of the benefits that they offer. Really nice package, and it seems affordable. And it all kicks in within 30 days, so I'll finally have some health insurance again that I can actually use. Nice people too. We have 4 weeks(!)of classes, followed by two weeks of training, all paid. So, worse comes to worse, I get 6-7 weeks of fully paid training, at the very least. Our trainer's cool. Nice Southern guy, VERY Irish name,former teacher. tells good redneck jokes too, lol.
And the dress code is pretty casual, so i don't have to worry about my hair.
So, my first corporate environment type job in many years. I haven't broken
out in hives yet, but we'll see as time goes on. it's just nice to have a job that seems to treat their employees properly. I had
all but given up on such a thing in Florida.
Now, I just have to get back in the habit of waking up VERY early.
