Productive Times
Okay, so in terms of holiday stuff, I have the following things complete:
- Mom's gifts
- Julia's gifts
- Dad's gifts
- A majority of my Christmas cards filled out and ready to send (hopefully completely done tomorrow)
- Lights around the window
- New candles for the menorah
Things I need to complete:
- Erik's gifts (blurg, he's hard to shop for...)
- Gifts for my aunts, uncle, and cousin (probably wine on all counts...)
- Gifts for other friends (the museum store gives me a discount this time of year!)
- Buy ingredients for the rum cake I intend to bake (namely, rum)
- Bake cookies for the trivia team and in-laws (not going to worry about this for awhile)
I'm on track, I'd say. Pretty sure I got this Christmas thing down. Hell, I even watched ELF tonight so that put me on track to watching The Big 5 (SCROOGED, MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL, A CHRISTMAS STORY, and NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS remain).
In other news, my iPod did finally die. I tried charging it and it just keeled over. RIP, Bartlebee. I'm going to try and see if I have enough money after the holidays to replace it. Until then I'll live without it. No biggee.
And finally, I got the invitation to Ellen's baby shower and Erik insisted we go out and buy baby stuff for them straight away.... As much as I'm not ready for kids and am not sure I ever will be, there are some DAMN CUTE things out there for babies. Like, a baby bathrobe with a hood IN THE SHAPE OF A SHARK'S HEAD. I would buy that. No question.
I'm not done with Christmas or Hanukkah, but I have a good grasp on it.
