Relived It Vicariously
So the ever wonderful and dear to me zenkindoflove is plowing through BIG LOVE right now, and she just finished season 4. Which means the whole Alby/Dale thing happened. And it sounds like the same thing happened to her as what happened to me when I watched that season...
I FELL IN LOVE WITH ALBY AND DALE ONLY TO HAVE MY LOVE STAMPED ON. I've been reading her messages to me and I went through all the giddy fan girl highs again, just as she did, and now I'm depressed and sad because of the outcome. Yes, I've had many ruined ships in my life, ruined for stupid reasons, and good reasons. But Alby/Dale is probably the absolute most painful end of a ship I have ever encountered. At least with Snape/Lily there was something GOOD that came out of all that pain. For Alby there was nothing left.
