I really wish I had a time machine

...and it is not to like to correct any mistakes I made or anything like that. I am dead serious that I want a time machine. I drove by the "Welcome to Dearborn" sign on Outer Drive today and it said "Settled in 1786". I thought that it would be interesting to see what the land used to look like before it was taken over by that Nazi, Henry Ford. For that matter, I'd want to see what Detroit looked like as well, not just when it was settled in 1703, but when it was alive and bright and booming in its prime. I'd also like to have seen the Hudson building when it was still open. I was watching the 1994 version of Miracle on 34th Street this weekend with my mother and she was talking about how she used to see Santa at Hudson's downtown when she was little and how it looked just like in the movie. That the entire 6th floor I believe, was decked out in this little Christmas village type thing. I would have loved to have been around to see that.

I'd also like to go back to like 1992 when Newsies came out. The main reason? Christian Bale. 1. He would have been closer to my age and 2. he was unmarried. So I could be all "Hey Christian Bale, want to get together sometime?" I guess I could do that now, but then that would make me a homewrecker and as far as I can tell, he is pretty attached to his wife. I also think it would be cool to go back to the time period of Newsies. Just to see New York and everything before cars and the subway system I think would be awesome. Hell, I would like to see New York Now because I have never been there, but still.

So basically I have established that I am nostalgic for things I was not even alive to see.

One more thing, and I know you aren’t supposed to go back in time and change history or whatever, but I would stop Nick Lachey from ever marrying Jessica Simpson. I mean really, he was always too good for her. I still don’t get how she was all “saving it for marriage” but now that she is divorced she is like a total whore now. Ok kind of off topic of time machines, but yea.
