I love fall.

It feels like fall now so I'm thinking about it. I'm looking out the window (also, I love that my lab has windows. Windows! What a concept!) and the sky is perfectly blue and the trees are kind of wagging around and everything just kind of looks crisp but not too cold and I'm very satisfied. Maybe I'll plan a hiking trip for this weekend.

Oooh, hiking! And a lab with windows! I've never heard of one of those before (though my roommate did her fellowship in a lab with glass interior walls). I am, for the fall, resigning myself to be indoors in a classroom and/or in front of a computer with occasional breaks for holidays. Thank goodness for old-fashioned school schedules! Next three day weekend will be courtesy of Christopher Columbus. Whatever else the bastard did, he's getting me an extra day of no classes and no teaching! : )
