As stated previously, I have one week left at my job. I cannot fucking wait to get out of there. I am not looking forward to being broke for a bit, but it will be nice to have all my time be my own, even if it is only for a short time.

I still have to figure out where I'm going to put my car. I was storing it for free at work.

Antonio Vargas came to town again and gave a pretty good workshop. He's doing shows, but the tickets cost way too much for me to afford.

Rehearsals for the show at the Blue Nile are going pretty well. Richard, Michelle and I will be the main dancers because no one else is ready. We had a bit of drama at a rehearsal last week about it. One of the dancers who has been with Michelle since before we started taking her class got upset and stormed out because she couldn't do the dance and can't make it to as many rehearsals as we do. Honestly, she has no rhythm, so flamenco rhythms are pretty difficult for her to grasp. I am lucky in that I seem to have an innately excellent sense of rhythm, and I try to keep this in mind when I get annoyed with other people because they can't "hear" the timing of the music. Anyway, as it stands now, we have sevillanas, tango, bambera, tientos, bulerias, and hopefully some fandangos ready and polished for the show. Richard and I will have a solo each, probably, and do the tientos as a duet. Michelle will have a couple of solos and the rest will be group choreography, probably. It should be pretty damn interesting, and certainly a new experience for me. If you had asked me seven years ago if I thought I'd have my big old ass dancing on Frenchmen street every Friday night, I'd have said you were on some serious crack. I've done a whole lot of changing since I got here.
