Yesterday I spent some time explaining to Sparky that men and women don't compete together in the events, and that a world record broken by a woman swimmer doesn't mean she just broke the recently broken world record in the same men's event. Today I'm planning on showing him some equestrian, and I was going to tell him that in this case, men and women do compete together. I originally was going to say that it was the only event where that is true, but in reading "Inside this sport" on good ol' nbcolympics.com, I learned that it is one of three events where they compete together.
Can you name the other two? I was able to guess on one, but
word_geek and I had to cheat to find out the other one. Unlike equestrian, though, both of those only have one medal out of a bunch where men and women compete together.
