almost 100 videos.

Jan 18, 2008 20:45

In the continuation of daxius's bandom education, I have put together a list of some fantastic bandom videos.

Please note: I didn't include any music videos, because I feel that it's implied that one should watch them. And I didn't include too many actual performance videos, because that's a slippery slope. There are some, but too many more and I would have started chasing down the best videos of every single bandom song ever. Which would be insane.

So yeah, enjoy.

COBRA STARSHIP

Send My Love To The Dancefloor... ACOUSTIC!
Gabe's dancing! Alex and Ryland's back-up vocals! SPANISH!

Bring It ACOUSTIC!
They have banter during the song. I love it! (Also, HARMONIES!)

Cobra Starship on The Sauce
They all match at first! And talk about how Nate used to be emo and Ryland used to be a hipster!

Cobra Starship teaches us about mistletoe!

Worst moment of 2007

Cobra Starship: Fangs Up
"A glimpse into the secret world of Cobra Starship"!
(I will refrain from quoting from the video itself, because it's all GOLD.)

Sexy dance party on the bus!
Gabe is bendy, Ryland takes his shirt off, and Alex shows us his tits.

Cobras in the dressing room
I've yet to look through all of VickyT's videos, or look through Buzznet too much, but there's a lot of FANTASTIC stuff out there. They are very camera happy.

Good Morning, Gabe Saporta!

Dancing to the original Diamond Girl

THE HUSH SOUND

Van tour!
What cuties.

The Hush Sound gets a flat.
These are some ridiculous, camera-happy kids. I love it.

Sweet Tangerine, acoustic
I love how the others at various points mime playing their instruments.

Momentum, acoustic.
From the same event as the previous vid. Snapping!

Bob sings a song that won't be on the new album.
I hate dealing with FoE and Buzznet, but THS seems to love to, so here I go.

Butch Walker conducts their backup vocals.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Butch Walker: avid multi-instrumentalist
How to be a great multi-instrumentalist in the studio:
1. Quick thinking. (If you must hit every article in the room until you find an object that rings in the key of D, so be it.)
2. Talent.
3. Grow a moustache, yes, even you Ladies.

Greta recording their lovely interlude.
GRETA + PIANO = LOVE.

Crawling Towards the Sun, with Darren singing and Chris drumming.
ACE.

Patrick + Hushies talk about the album.
Patrick the producer and honorary Hushie! A++++

THE ACADEMY IS…

The Phrase That Pays, acoustic.
I spy Tomrad in the background. Also, I like the acoustic version of this song quite a lot.

William picks up the mic stand with his foot and struts around the stage.

"Bulls In Brooklyn" with Butch Walker
MIC SHARING. NGH.

William's sex noises during "LAX to O'Hare."

At a signing.
This is here for the 8(ish) words that Tom says. I want more video of Tom's voice. I REALLY REALLY DO.

At Austin Airport
Sisky in glasses! They're just coming back from a science fair!

Skeptics and True Believers, live.
William looks like a spazzing frog with his tambourine. Let the boy stand! And meanwhile, TOM IS TO DIE FOR OH GOD. Foot tucked under him, playing and singing like the hotass he is.

3 performance videos (these are so awkward, because they're live but audience-less; they are here because it's some of the rare footage where you can actually hear Tom singing):
Attention
Classifieds
Slow Down

LAX to O'Hare (AT&T Blue Room)
Butcher is a champ on the tambourine, and I love hearing him sing.

The Butcher sings Alicia Keys
OH BUTCHER.

And I think TAITV goes without saying.

FALL OUT BOY

Pete gives Patrick a breast exam.

Fall Out Boyz.
Fall Out Boy's new look (LOL).

Pete and Patrick interview with PopWorld
I love Patrick's story of the strangest thing to happen to him on tour. Also, they have a fantastic answer to the "what is emo?" question.

Hard Rock Live interview.
Patrick snuggled a guitar, and Patrick and Pete are married.

The one where Pete says he feels like a fraud whenever they do "Don't Matter", and then almost kisses Patrick.

Pete's bus tour.

Another bus tour (and then some)
Pete and Joe are wonderful. <3

Patrick moment from the B-Sides DVD
Adorable, hatless baby!Patrick.

Patrick plays drums.

Pete on Steven's Untitled Rock Show
Steven's interviews are my favorites, and this is a good one. In no small part due to Pete's glasses (!!!!!!!!!!!).

Patrick singing with Lupe Fiasco at the Woodies
Between Patrick being AMAZING and Pete STANDING ON THE CHAIR TO APPLAUD, this is one of the videos that puts a gigantic grin on my face every single time.

The infamous kiss during "Mr Brightside".
And again.

Fall Out Boy on Fuse.
The one where they see the "I'm Like A Lawyer..." video for the first time. Teary Patrick, silent Pete.... this makes my heart clench a little.

Holiday Greeting
What ridiculous guys. Hooray for Joe in glasses!

On rumors about them.
Patrick's 41 and Pete's gay above the belt.

Fall Out Boy on Rage.
Someone is touching Patrick's back!

Back To School
Patrick and his backpack!

Outtakes
Adorable.

Al Di vs. Fall Out Boy
One of the most ridiculous interviews out there. Two thumbs up!

Fall Out Boy on T-Minus Rock
The interview where they talk about Patrick & Pete's fights.

A Tour Through LA by Patrick Stump!
One of my favorite Patrick videos.

PANIC AT THE DISCO

Brendon Urie: Idiot Boyfriend
ACE.

Panic on Live 105's Morning Show (featuring fall fashions, and Spencer rocking the tambourine):
Lying Is The Most Fun… (This is my absolute favorite look on Brendon, and I'll never tire of him grinning as he sings.)
I Write Sins Not Tragedies
The best Q&A ever!

Rolling Stone interview
They are so cranky and at odds for a big part of this, and I find it kind of endlessly fascinating. And then it turns into absolute hilarity.

The "perfect passionate kiss" speech
As LOGO said, gayest stage show ever, quite possibly.
More: one, two.

DRUM LINE.

Panic on Rage
HILARIOUS. OH BOYS.

Time To Dance, live
OMG BEACHBALL.

Hey, wanna go smoke?
<3333

Ryan and Brendon hold hands on tv.

Brendon and Ryan fail at talking.
I LOVE IT.

Slow Motion cover.
[Also all the other covers they've done, but as I know Ari has seen the videos I have, I'm not going to track down links right now.]

BBC interview at Reading & Leeds
Spencer = very possibly drunk.

Spencer is a badass who can dodge a bottle while playing.

Brendon & Ryan rehearsing with Mark Hoppus.
Playing "What's My Age Again" with him. (There's a whole lot of other fantastic FOB&c stuff in there first.)

On Ducks TV
SO. MUCH. LOVE.

Panic! on a Plane
There is NOTHING I don't love about this video. It is all fantastic to the extreme.

Panic on the Dean's List
Their laughing makes my day.

Interview in three parts: one, two, three.
This interview is endlessly fascinating to me, because there is so much going on under the surface. Their body language, jesus. It's just... I want to know why they're all like this. I want to know the story. (I also want to smack Jon when he eats the fruit after Brendon goes for it. And I want to feed Brendon soup in bed until he doesn't look so sickly.)

Kerrang! Podcast
Questions worth listening to (on occassion)!

Halloween interview.
This interviewer always makes me feel uncomfortable, but I love Brendon opting not to talk about his sex life. It's personal! And they got Jon's insides printed onto a shirt!

Honda Civic Tour interviews and performances.

Best version of "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" that I've ever heard them do.

HCT Q&A, part 1
ANIMAL SHELTER! ORPHANAGE! GROWING CLOSER AND CLOSER!
part 2
Influenced by Mark Hoppus! Brendon is single!

God, they fail at answering questions. FAIL.

CROSSOVER

popping out of the stage!
VickyT pops out of the stage, and Patrick "reassures her". (Where is the Patrick/VickyT, people?)

FOB give Gerard a hug at the 2005 VMAs
OH BOYS.

Brendon sings with FOB on "Sixteen Candles"

Backstabber: Dresden Dolls vs. Panic! At The Disco
Best response to the controversy around The Dresden Dolls touring with Panic, and one of my favorite videos ever besides. 100% guaranteed to make me giggle and grin. My eyes are heart-shaped every single time.

Dresden Dolls + Brendon Urie, "Baby One More Time"
Reason number 3135785343 why I wish I'd seen this tour.
A different performance.

Gym Class Heroes + Patrick on Jimmy Kimmel
"Cupid's Chokehold" of course. Patrick is like, half as tall as Travis, I love it. I also love that Patrick is ROCKIN IT, and that Travis picks him up at the end.

Brendon guesting with The Hush Sound on "Don't Wake Me Up"

The Hush Sound: Brendon guests, Jon bounces around onstage.

FBR crashes THS's set, basically.
ACE ACE ACE. Jwalk breakdances, Spencer bangs away at the kit, Katie continues to be hotter than hot, Brendon dances, and Jon PICKS UP SPENCER AND CARRIES HIM OFFSTAGE.

Patrick guesting with The Hush Sound on "Don't Wake Me Up"
Featuring Bob in a heart costume (it was on Valentine's Day).

Patrick guesting a different time on "Don't Wake Me Up"
Crappy quality, but the HUGS!

There's probably a lot of things I missed, and I may or may not go back and add to this. Probably not, but who knows. This isn't at ALL meant to be comprehensive, in big part because I made this with Ari in mind, and I know some of the stuff that she's already seen.

Also, MCR isn't on here, but I DO have many a fine video of them. If you want to peruse through my MCR favorites on youtube, knock yourself out!

panic!, ***, fall out boy, video, cobra starship, bandom, the academy is…, hushies
