BotCon Room Party & Medieval Times Outing
wyntir-rose and I will be hosting a small room-party On Friday, the 27th of April at our room in the Hotel Lawrence. The address is: 302 South Houston Street • Dallas, TX 75202. It's about a quarter mile from the convention on the other side of Union Station. I think there is a tunnel that runs from the Reunion Tower to Union Station that people can use as well.
Map will be forthcoming! And I figure we'll start things off around 8 or so. I don't have our room # yet but I'll give my cell phone # to whomever is interested in the party so you can contact me after we hit Dallas and we have that info.
It's going to be a fairly laid back gathering for squeeing and other fannish things. We're both adults in our 30's so expect some booze and possible tipsy, giggling ficcing. Obviously, we ask that anyone not over the age of 21 not partake of the alcohol since none of us want to get arrested for providing alcohol to minors. XD We'll provide some snackies but feel free to BYOB and any other things you might be interested in munching on.
I'll be bringing my PS3 so we can watch DVD's and maybe MST the Bay movies or something.
Also, for those not interested in the Casino night, wyntir-rose and I are planning on hitting up Medieval Times. on Saturday. For those who have never heard of Medieval Times, it's a dinner & show based off of --shock-- medieval tournaments. They have an educational aspect before hand and then you go into the dining hall where they serve things like chicken legs and the like and put on a show with knights jousting and demonstrating various knightly skills. Here is the Menu. It's a little pricey at around 60 bucks a plate but it really is worth it IMO since you'd pay that for just about any other dinner theater.
We'll have a small rental car that can probably fit two other passengers, so if you want to hitch a ride with us, let me know!
