So, there's this show...

I've mentioned it briefly in my sadly infrequent recent postings. I don't think those mentions really convey how utterly I have fallen for Merlin.

There are several reasons why this show has reduced me to inarticulate squee. I shall endeavour to articulate them:

Ooh, putting in memories to read later. I've only seen the first two eps so far, but LOVED Arthur and Merlin and their not-so-subtle-subtexty relationship. I didn't watch it at first because it looked too much like that recent Robin Hood series which I'd really disliked but after seeing much squee on my f'list I decided to give it a go. The rest of the eps are lined up and waiting for me!

It's SOO wonderful. I worried that it would be too much like Robin Hood, which I didn't hate, but didn't love either, but as soon as I caught the first whiff of extremely subtle dad!angst between Uther and Arthur I was hooked. I'm gone past enjoyment, and fallen straight into fangirly squeeing about the show.

And of course I end up writing pre-series fic. I'm so utterly predictable.

I knew there'd be daddy!angst if you're spruiking the show. Can't wait for it to come here.

I'm so predictable. It's subtle angst, I think. Not quite on the Wesley and Roger W-P scale, but still delicious. Also, Tony Head and Bradley James are extremely good to look at.

I fear I may be the only person loving the show for the daddy!angst rather than the wonderfully innocent slash. *g*

Ah, it's just lovely. Impossible to resist the absolute cuteness of the boys, and ASH being wonderful, and the daddy!angst all subtle and delicious... *g*

Yes Arthur is ridiculously pretty, its the shoulders and the muscles and did I mention the shoulders? Its all him...not the armour!

Oh and the cheekbones on that boy could cut ice....

Right well as you can tell and from seeing on LB's journal I've taken a fondness to the show as well.

It's just wonderful. And you two were so lucky to see them last weekend. I'm horribly jealous and sort of madly squeeing at the same time. *g*

I was half-writing Arthur injures his shoulder fic and Merlin has to tend the wound/massage it fic in the car on the way home from Mum's this evening. Shoulder muscle fic would definitely be good.
