I said there are a few Xbox games that interest me, but not enough to sell the system.

Oh hell yeah. I'm picking me up a copy of the new GBA That's So Raven game. Oh oh oh! And there's a new Mary-Kate and Ashley game coming out... Mary-Kate & Ashley: 18 and Licensed for Rehab. That is SO mine.

Half Life 2 - great game. Finished it on normal, over all I'd give it an 8 and 1/2 out of 10 on the intial gaming experience. (I know the long term mod investment of the community will hence forth change that to a 10 out of 10.)

While the tech was amazing, the game itself didn't manage to innovate enough for me. The first set a really high bar, and a good portion of that was pushing the limits of how a first person game could tell a story - this one didn't push as hard. There were a couple of nice Halo references in the way scenes played out though. (On the boat, when you're driving - and an alien drop ship flies directly over heard, I was suddenly hit with flash backs)

All in all a great investment.
