Whew... damn exciting game. My heart rate actually went up that last half inning. Boston played a fantastic series. But man... Manny Ramirez, an eloquent man he is not. He should've asked someone to come up with some good lines for him for all the post-game interviews.
The strange thing is, the defining characteristics of Red Sox fandom -- the angst, the anticipation -- are now gone, and the whole thing somehow seems less special. Weird, isn't it?
I had the oddest dream last night. I was to be part of a musical production with some cousins of mine, and I had to sing a song that, in the context of the dream, I myself penned. After I woke up, I forgot most of the song except that it was sung to the tune of Five for Fighting's "Superman" and that the first line was "Nothing rhymes with 'wow.'" Anyway, the musical was set underwater so the theater had a water tank that ran the length of the main aisle where a full-sized submarine would be submerged. I don't recall exactly if I was supposed to be in the sub; I think I was. I woke up before I actually got to perform.
