Holidays are fun, if not short lived. I think im more exhausted from the holidays then i was from tafe. Speaking of which we had the enrollment thingo for tafe the other day. Stupid system, you cant choose what class you want, you just rock up and are given one. So needless to say, im stranded in some hicksville class with nothing but but myself and ...victor...
I dont know what it is about him thats gets to me. He can be alright, but he can also be a pathetic loser. Thats right, by loser's standards, he's pathetic. He strikes me as one of those kids that told people thats he's cool in the hope that someone..someone out there, would believe him. So far earth, the martians, god, quaags and the repulical of dominica havent fallen for it.
I had fun at work today, and by fun i mean a shit time.i felt like i was in 'close encounters' but rather then communicate with nifty music, i had to do it with hand gestures. He had a bus load of japanese tourists in and they all hanted different things, but were unable to communicate what it was that they wanted. It was fun trying to do charades about maple syrup.
*points to staple*
*makes pouring action*
thats as good as the charades got. thankfully we were all saved by someone in the store who could talk to them.
Finished the Serpent War series the last week. Im still unsure what i think about it. It had its good parts, but it had many bad parts. The annoying thing is that the last part of the last book was so good story wise, but hardly any of it actualy got explored. So with that finished i thought i would read the harry potter book. Its odd. Whilst its better then i expected, theres something about it. Something i cant put my finger on, but its stopping me from getting into it. The book so far (im 3 quaters into it) it by far nowhere near as descriptive enough. There should have at least been a struggle when they fought the troll. Its a bleeding troll for christs sake and ron, RON of all people, bested it. It was a huge troll, and it got maybe half a page of fight. If all it took to incompasitate the troll has to bonk it on the head, something that ron of all people achieved, why did ALL of the teachers rush off to fight it.
"a troll, lets go dumbledore!"
"troll..im more worried about filch's cat...thats things a KILLER!"
"theres a cat..A CAT ON THE GROUNDS?! teachers to your battle stations"
See thats what they were doing wrong in LOTR, rather then legless piss farting around with shooting an arrow into its mouth, he should have just hit it on the head. Problem solved and off they go
If hermione, or hemorrhoid, was eaten by the troll, i wouldnt have minded...BITCH
So that struck me as odd. It has its amusing parts though, but the only reason i can follow the book is because ive seen the movie and can picture the ill descript books happenings.
You realise rach that if i do like the book, i wont tell you :P
