Don Furby, Murdering In The Name Of His Opressed Brothers
Yeah, so dig it:
Went out on the town on the weekend on brookes party bus thingo. Cant say i was ever excitied about it, but i thought id give it a bash. Davo and Nickky J came with. The run down:
Pug Mahones: Not bad, bit small. Got there before the band was even thinking about comming out of their drug induced coma or pulling themselves out of pools of vomit (bands are so classy nowadays dont you think?) so there wasnt alot of action. The DJ there was a bit retro, but get this. Some chick sidled on up to dave and asked if myself and Nick J were....gay. Sure we were singing along to "I Like Big Butts" and doing the 'dig dig shovel dance' but thats no reason to think that we're batty boys. So that bar is forever striked from the list.
Elephant & Wheelbarrow (St Kilder): Avid readers will already know that i have attended this bar before, under rather annyoing conditions. The band was good there, remind me of INXS, only more punk. We met some cool guys there, and was an enjoyable romp
Bridie O'Rielys: Dont quote me on that spelling. Big, and packed. The band again was goood, but it was such a shiezen place for the band. Small cramped area, with smoke machines running. For a moment i thought i saw smokey bear enforming that we were the only ones who could have prevented this forest fire. That or it was some hairy greek diving to the floor seeking oxygen. Infact i think that was the more likely.
Not once did i see a ganster or underworld member. Not once did i see said persons shooting each other. I never heard of the melbourne 'seedy underworld' before they started killing each other, and even still im yet to see them going at it soprano style. Obviously the furby smuggling market is dying. The government must have cracked down on furby assylum seekers.
Rob messaged me the other day saying he was going away. I was like 'oh, your going somewhere?'. Yeah, USA. Good to see my friends keep me in touch. I was probably only invited for a present, or to do something at the party. It'll be so boring, those guys rarely do anything but drink and play pool round there. Yes rach, see? I think there is more to parties then drinking. Dont fall off your chair :P
Speaking of which ive started to cruise around with rach, which has its advantages. Still hatchs are a touch on the small side, no?
Erm, morris is this saturday. Surprised as i am thats its being held in warrendyte, i find the fact that i was invited even moreso surprising. Should be alright, although it would be better if he was having it somewhere less remote. I have a thing about going to parties where i have to take the Internation Time Lines into account en-route. Just about
