Warped Tour '06 Columbus...
so i made 388mile drive to Columbus, Ohio for warped tour... i went to see Paramore and to see the hometown boys play away from home... here's my rundown:
-HelloGoodbye: technical problems but good show
-Anti-Flag: good show
-Less Than Jake: always good
-EveryTime I Die: i was glad to see they can rock just as much w/o the hometown advantage, can't wait for DL PAC
-Valient Thorr: what the fuck is this?! i felt like i was watching a band my dad would listen to but w/ crappier music
-ScaryKidsScaringKids: awesome! very glad i got to see them
-Plain White T's: they were just as good as when i saw them in December
-Paramore: FUCKING AMAZING!! THEY ARE OFFICIALLY MY FAVOURITE BAND NOW! they loved the sign i made...
-Rise Against: awesome!
...i need to see some band in August:
-Gym Class Heroes: they played the same time as Paramore and well i need to show the Geneva boys some hometown-ish support
-ETID: they are just so awesome i need to see them a 3rd time and the fact that the show will be back home will mean high energy
-Spitalfield: they played later and we had to leave early but they put on a good show and i want to see them again
-Silverstein: another late playing band i need to see them live
-Saves the Day: i havn't seen them since Pop Disaster Tour back in 2003 so i believe i am well overdo
-ScaryKidsScaringKids: i missed most of their set...
-AlexisOnFire: they didn't play columbus so yea...
-NOFX: we left right before their set so it needs to be done
-D2EA: havn't seen these guys in a while and i do enjoy their shows...
...even w/o the advantage of knowing the tricks of the venue i met some cool people heres the rundown:
-Roger (LTJ): he was checking the board as tim and i walked up tim was too afraid to ask if it was him so i did it for him...
-Down 2 Earth Approach: not very hard especially since they are hometown boys but it was nice to talk to them
-Paramore: i made a sign that said "We Drove 388.2 miles for Paramore" and well lets just say they gave me lots of high-5's and Hayley pointed @ me and smiled when they first came on... they signed the sign...
-Chris Conley (STD): i was rather excited to see the man behind a band i have come to like so much the past few months i shook his hand told him how awesome he is and had him sign my book thinger
-Mark Rose (Spitalfield): i havn't seen Mark since our interview in December and it was nice to talk to him and catch up... you could tell he recognized me but forgot my name :-\
...people i need to meet:
-ETID: i want so badly to tell them how awesome they are
-NOFX: i hopefully have an interview [crosses fingers]
