Everything is good.

So, I adapted a new approach to my treadmill workouts. The hell with speed. And, I let myself be a lazy slug for a day or 2 at a time. And the result was stunning. Last night, I was at the slowest-possible jog, and I kept going for more than 23 minutes! After a little bit of walk time (fast walking, by the way), I did another 10 minutes. After more recovery, I did 15 minutes of jogging. I'm so grateful that the last 3 weeks of hard work have netted genuine results! It was not actual torture to put 6 miles on the treadmill last night, the most ever. Total time: 91 minutes (that includes warm-up and cool-down time that was part of the 6 miles). Yes, math majors, that's a 15-minute mile. Not that I care about speed...

On the other hand, when I climbed up 2 flights of stairs to my bedroom, I couldn't bear the thought of returning to the kitchen to write down the 6 miles on my calendar..... I got Richard to do it.

With ideal temperatures this week, I'll be scoping out some measured courses in my neighborhood. Or, maybe I'll go to another neighborhood, where nobody knows me... I might as well go to Potomac, or someplace fashionable...

15 weeks until the half-marathon, and if I can get up to 10 miles at pace, by then I'll have tremendous confidence going into this event.

On anther front, I got a clear MRI, following the lumpectomy. But I knew that, I just did.

Now, if I could just take all that goodness and apply it to the disgusting chaos in the family room...... it's pretty bad... Oh, forget it, that's why I have that room divider/screen (shoji)!
