3 days ago, when I was on my way back from a meeting in Kunlun, I ran into Miss Storm and friends in Kunlun's port. (exept Seryna, I had expected that she would be with them, I just hope nothing bad have happened)
they where there to explore the land and I figured that I might as well tag along in what time I did had left before I had to go. First thing first though, was that I used the upportunity to give her the welcoming back gift from Pastel and me, a small back of Coral.
I don't know what have happened to her, but it's something that really must had gotten to her, she didn't smiled in her usual cheerfull way, instead she had this broken smile, as if everything was chrashing down around her and having friends around was the last thing she had ekspected.
We started to walk around on the Kunlun field and explore the miniature building that was placed all over the area, a mini Alberta by the river, a perfect copy of the Pronteran church and even a copy of the village I grew up in.
after exploring all the miniatures (and finding each other after we got scattered) we entered Kunlun and started to walk around on the outher ring of isles first. unfortunately, after reaching the western must, I had to go, being busy elsewhere.
When I told the others that, Miss Storm hugged me, almust clinging, as if I would be gone for good.
...
I didn't wanted to leave her like this, but the others where with her, and things was urgent, so I had to go, despite everything.

Reason for leaving was the shard of Ymir incident. I had recieved some clues as to the time it could be found, and had to head back to the tower to do all the preperations, which took a longer time then ekspected
I was even late for the meeting the following day, that I had setup in morroc, having everything else distracting me, but we managed to get a move on, on tracking down the shard, by following the energy trail that it had left behind.

The trail brought us into the fallen nation of Sanduraman, and the fortress city of St. Damain.
there we ran into the monster that normally resides there, but also ambushes from demons that we had to fight our way through. it went slow, but eventually, we managed to catch up with the ones who had stolen the shard. at that point I thought we could end it there, untill suddenly several monsters was called forth to help them.
we got splitted into 3 groups, the first ran after the female rogue, I and an Assasin frind of Nalani was held by a mysteltain, and Nalani and Silbermond ran after the male rogue.
After taking care of the Mysteltain, we caught up with Silbermond and Nalani who had managed to catch the rogue, with Silbermond using some kind of blade.
Silbermond held him, while the rest of us ran after the other group to check up on them and found them all disabled or knocked out by one of the monsters. Nalani and Gall quikly engaged it and dragged it away, after which they returned and tended everybodies wound.
Afterward, one of the Assasin in the group searched the female rogue, and found nothing, meaning the other rogue had it. The short of it, we got the shard back, seems like they where need to know basis hired hands and we didn't had any issue with them, so we decided to let them go, no need to make more enemies then needed.
After safely getting everybody back to Al de Baren, we each headed to our own place. In my case, back to the tower to secure the shard and do autopsy on one of the corpse, though it wasn't needed.
On the back of the hand of the demon, I found the mark of Katrill, the same mark Vegi had on her and the order of Demon affliviated with Aucol.
Looks like I'm in for another late night visit from a Katrill Demon again.

Elmikie closed the journal and returned to his book, he had got the shard back, now priority was to do something about Aucol, fast. He browsed through the first book "Energy field and Portals, thier relation".
