Yay yay Yay!

I am in the corner of the computer lab because there is a class going on with 5 adults in it. I keep farting silently and its funny. graphic design has the potential to be really sweet or really horrible and capitalistic. Im pretty sure everyone in this class right now is for the latter.
Different members of my family keep calling me to say "I heard a rumor that you are HITCH HIKING! You better NOT! " and I have to sort of laugh at them and say "..uh...ok..." for the sake or not wanting to get into it but when i go home and see my uncle and my dad in real life I think i am going to talk with them about how important it is for me personaly to do these things. Im pretty sick of my dads condecending attitude towards me being socially conscious. I dont give a shit that you can get so many things for only 20 dollars at Wallmart.

Richmond, VA is amazing, beautiful, and cheep. I met some super sweet kids. I got to see some of them at NCOR and it was pretty great. I cant wait to go back this summer when the James River is warm enough to swim in.
Getting there was pretty sweet. We made it in almost perfect time. 2 rides. the second of which spoke primarily spanish. I dug way down and tried to remember what little I learned from Mr. Eves class and a week in Mexico.... "Me gusta la musica..." - which made him chuckle and turn up the horrible spanglish r&b songs he was listening to. It was seriously so loud that my ears hurt but it was funny.
I knew I liked him when he pointed at this lady walking her huskie and said "doggy doggy dog!!!!" and got such a huge smile on his face.
We stayed with Julia Scott and her parents who loved us and cooked us dinner and danced to the B52's and Elvis Costello with us.
Getting back home we had to work with an even harder language barrier becasue two older gents from Turky picked us up. Neither Julia, nor myself, know any Turkish but we tried and had funny conversations with them. at one point Almet turned around and said "you love george bush?" and we both sort of laughed and said no way. after that it was smooth sailing and they kept offering us coffee and ciggerettes. Almet asked us:"Have you been Turky?" and when we said no he waved his arms around in circles and said "OK! All of us go now to Turky!" We laughed and told him perhaps some other time.
He didnt pay any attention to the lines on the road and it was terrifying.
other than that it was A-Okay.

Vince is here and its great great great.
I learned a lot at NCOR and I think Julia and I might hold some workshops here at mica!
And my grandpa Bob keeps calling me every week to tell me the jokes he hears at work!!

I need to leave. I cant get any work done in the computer lab because this teacher keeps saying funny things like "katty whompus." i kid you not.
