(no subject)

I am the world's biggest procrastinator. Don't even think about it. I win. By Thursday I have to: (this is actually by Wednesday night as I have work/driving to school/meeting with professor on Thursday, so no time for this) By Wednesday night I have to:

1. Rewrite my 43 page thesis. Most is local revision stuff, but there's a few major chunks, consisting of probably 12-15 pages of substantial rewriting.

2. Rewrite 6 page Frankenstein paper. Okay, basically write from scratch again, as the version I turned in is horribly lame. And has no quotes from the book, so basically is lacking evidence, analysis, a good intro, a strong conclusion, good topic sentences, a relevant thesis, and that about covers it, yeah? Oh wait, and a cover page.

3. Write 10-15 page multicultural class paper. Easy, but 10 pages? I mean, yeah it's not going to be hard, but it's a lot nicer to crank out 5-7 page papers than 10-15, so it'll still probably take awhile.

4. Collect all journals and papers from writing class into a folder to turn in. Easier than actually writing them, but man I sure hope they're all in my notebook.

5. Read the rest of Their Eyes Were Watching God (200 pages). I'm not doing this.

5. Revise screenplay

Of course, revising the screenplay was easy, as I just corrected typos instead of making it better. Alas. That will have to come later. Man I hope that's all I have to do.

Yes I know there are two 5s. I already told you I'm not doing the first one. Silly!

Things to do on Thursday:

1. Go to medieval lit and seriously consider drinking mead and/or spiced (read: alcoholic) cider at our medieval feast. Also, obtain a goblet and a knife to eat with. Preferably a very large knife, and a goblet of fire.

2. Go see NARNIA at midnight!!! Wooohoooooo! Although I'm pissed that they're making that movie now. Because see...Lord of the Rings was so freaking sweet cause Peter Jackson was like "I'm making these movies, watch out." Harry Potter is so freaking sweet because David Heyman is like "I'm making these movies, watch out." And they did/are going to make the entire series, more or less at once. Or in a hurry, as fast as they can. This way they can do things like 1. use the same actors (specifically those fast-growing younguns) 2. Guarantee that the ENTIRE series gets made. And the thing is, Disney/Walden is not going to do it like that. They were like "Hey, I bet we can make some cash! Let's make a movie!" And it could be an awesome movie, and do really well, and then they'll make Prince Caspian, but it won't come out until 2008, and it won't do nearly so well, so they might make Voyage of the Dawn Treader. They certainly won't get to Silver Chair, let alone any of the others. And seriously, by the time The Last Battle came out, Lucy would be what, 30? This is problematic. I don't want to wait that long, but that's what it would be, because if they start out with a 2 1/2 year gap between the first two movies, it will never get any better. HP started with a one year gap, but they couldn't keep it up. It's just sad because those movies (plural) could have been so good, and now, this movie (singular) might be cool. They really just needed to wait until someone with a vision and a dream and the means to put that vision into cinematic form came along...and it really shouldn't have been that hard to find a producer that HAD to make these movies. I would have done it, if they'd asked, and I am sure I'm not the only one. Gaaaah.

Things to do Friday:

1. Collapse in relief after attending NARNIA at midnight.

2. Sleep in. Ohhh my.

3. Dogsit for Kosho!

4. Syriana!

Also, it is currently one degree in Fort Collins.
