ahhhhh....I'm so...pleased....right now. I just feel totally content right now. just this moment, everything seems so....right. here's a recap of what's happened so far this winter vacation.

1. friday - working on script with charlie and julian and jojo. we didn't use anything we came up with (which totaled to be about 1 page of scriptage, not counting our beautiful title page)
2. weekend - can't...remember.......oh yeah, saturday was the awful christmas tree debacle and sunday was my dad's chorus concert thing.
3. monday - um........oh yeah, I think it was hanging out with charlie and lauren. we went to safeway and asked for 10 chicken strips (tenders? things?) but only got 5. I don't think the cashier comprehended the english language.
4. tuesday - most likely more charlie/julian/jojo stuff. maybe I didn't do anything tuesday.....
5. wednesday - went to CJ's for dinner, then charlie's house, with charlie julian jojo and katie. highlight of the night: when julian told the waiter he didn't want water and she was like 'nyeh...' (ok, I'm not sure what he told her, but I remember she said 'nyeh' and it was amazingly funny.')
6. thursday - bought 'slanted & enchanted' by pavement, 'you forgot it in people' by broken social scene and 'the creek drank the cradle' by iron & wine. all good, especially slanted & enchanted. buy it. it's like, 48 tracks, for 15 bucks.
7. friday - christmas shopping. got a jacket (a really cool one) and some stuff for my parents (my mom really wanted socks....and I got my dad a shirt, and got them both some pepper...for..their....peppergrinder...)
10. christmas - opening christmas presents. I got 'rebel without a crew', a diary the guy who directed el mariachi & once upon a time & mexico had. it was pretty interesting.
I also got: you shall know us by our velocity (by the guy who did A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering genius (ahem, taylor)), some shirts, a far side wall calendar..and..some..other stuf...I forgot. this may sound like a crappy christmas but keep in mind I got a 3ghz proc for my pc (along with a dvd burner and a motherboard) a few weeks ago, and a 1500 dollar camcorder a few months ago. not to mention I got some new (and very awesome) drum heads and sticks last sunday. so this mac is a happy mac.

oh, charlie, the mysterious book that my grandma gave me was '1001 places to visit before you die'. I guess she gave it to me because she knew I had a greater chance at fulfilling the book's title than she did. I've been to a lot of the american ones, though. oh well. just that much closer I guess.
