bwood cop: "good morning" (ps. it was like 11:50 pm at this point....not even morning)
me: "good morning."
cop: "who do you know that goes to the air force academy?"
me: "oh, my brother"
cop: "did you know that when you have a blinking red light you're still supposed to stop at the light before you turn?"
me: "no, well yes but i didn't see it...uhh.."
cop: "alright. i used to be in the air force myself and i knew a friend that went to the academy."
me: "oh really? my dad used to be in...he's retired now"
cop: "where were you stationed?"
me: "kuwait and the pentagon."
cop: "oh, wow. alright well since you've never done anything before i'll let you go. you have a nice morning."
me: "you too, sir."
that's pretty much how my first pull-over by a cop (ever) went. the cool thing is he could have given me a ticket for going 45 in the 35 cause i definatly was but instead he followed me all the way from barrett's street, didn't hold it against me that i didn't see him or pull over til right after the old brentwood baptist and was the nicest cop i've ever met. oh and thanks to brad for putting the academy sticker on the car and thanks to dad for being in the air force.
