Writer's Block: Ripped from the Headlines
really wish i could find the article I'm talking about in this post...Update it when I do.
okay, so this doesn’t exactly make me particularly happy or angry, just amused...But my dad was showing me this newspaper with an article about Earth hour the other day.
if you don't know what that is, pretty sure you've been living under a rock-switch your lights off for an hour, the aim is to save energy + green house gases + global warming ect ect .
people tend to use candles in this hour, in fact, last night I saw Scouts handing them out to people to encourage the event.
Turns out that one candle actually creates more green house gasses then a light bulb does.
ha !
the article was saying that maybe people should stop doing things to make themselves feel better, and actually get on with trying to fix Global Warming (if we still can).
Imagine it, the whole world using more green house gasses when the night is supposed to be healthy for the environment.
ironic, don't you agree?
