i just got back from the doggy emergency room...my oldest dog otto just had a stroke about an hour ago. hes 16 years old and started to feel really disorriented and lost all the time and started to pee inside cause he couldnt hold it...hes just getting old...i mean he still walks up and down the spiral stairs outside and can kinda run ...just getting old. and hes not in any pain but today he kinda fell over and started shaking and foaming and bleeding from his mouth and wheezing so me and mom rushed him to pet hospital and they took him into the back room and hooked him to resporater and ran some blood tests...according to his blood tests hes fine just getting old...hes a trooper. but they are keeping him until later tonight to see if he has any other seizures. the doctor says it might be a symptom of a tumor somewhere inside him but the only way to know is if they do a catscan or MRI but they are outrageously expensive and they wouldnt treat an old dog like him anyway if they did find a tumor so mom is gonna go pick him up later tonight if hes ok and then we are just going to watch him for the next couple days and hopefully next couple weeks. my mom said that we would only put him down if he was in pain or was just getting to old to really function right...and right now hes in as good a shape as a 10 yr old doggy...he just has a little bit of alzheimers... the only problem is that we are going to be going ona long trip in about 2 weeks and i personally am not comfortable leaving him at home for my crazy gramaw to care for...she has an 18 yr old dog that is in so much pain and just wont put her down...that my freinds is torture...besides she would only need to come twice a day to feed let them out and stuff and otto right now is high maitenence...im trying to convince my mommy to pay cailin to housesit and watch the dogs...but she doesnt know about that either...if cailin is busy...which she prolly is maybe i can convince her to get one of my freinds to house sit...that is if otto is still even kickin by then...i hope so tho cause i love him soooooo much!

hope fully after our trip we can get another puppy if otto isnt still around cause butch wont be able to stand living by himself... and mommy wants abother dauchsaund like otto so im crossing me fingers my mom will be keen on that idea
