Sooo. I am currently sitting in my kitchen, by myself, with very loud music playing. Although apparently it's snowing everywhere else, here it's blazing sunshine. God bless Wiltshire. Not that isn't effing freezing - I really REALLY wanted to go into town but a combination of migraine, PMT, desperation not to spend money and the temperature outside has meant I've actually spent the day inside watching Gossip Girl and drinking way too much filter coffee. However, the internet being dangerous, I ordered new glasses from glassesdirect.co.uk for £29. Oops. I also bought boots in the sale at work, reduced from £155 to £45. I've wanted them since we launched the new range and now they are MINE! Muhahaha!
So life is good at the moment - now I haven't got a job to worry about there's nothing much to stress over so I'm a happy Ellwood. We're hoping to buy now windows soon because the ones in the house are old and a bit gash... kinda expensive. We had this really funny sales pitch from Safestyle the other night (you knoooow, the "Yah BUUUY one, yah get one FREE!" people) and we were just like mate... we used to sell stuff people didn't want for a living, don't think we don't see right through you! So the quotes continue.
Last night I had Naomi and Sarah over from work, so we made tacos and watched Keeping the Faith which was a somewhat odd combination of Ben Stiller and Ed Norton, one playing a Rabbi and one playing a priest, both in love with the same utterly unloveable woman. Nice evening generally and I think next time we'll go to Sarah's.
Matthew's gone back to Lincolnshire until Tuesday for dental surgery so tis just me until then. Friday we're going up to Huddersfield, both of us, for the weekend to meet the new puppy and have a bit of a break - will be nice to be cooked for and looked after for a few days. Costing us a fortune in train fares though! Perhaps not as much as an 11 hour round trip would cost in petrol... I'm liking having the house to myself but Monday is coming round again (too soon) and it will be a bit crap coming home to an empty house tomorrow. Gah. Maybe I'll get a Tesco Chinese or something.
Tuesday was an adventure... I left my lights on all day in work car park, resulting in me cursing not having AA cover. Luckily a nice man from marketing gave me a jump start but I felt like the biggest wally of all time and frankly could have cried. Certainly taught me a lesson... cause you know, really they should beep or something if you leave the lights on. Stupid vehicle.
Annnd then this week more people were leaving so we went for curry after work, which was lovely, but as designated driver it was a bit weird to be drinking lucozade instead of a pint!
Sooo...yeah. I realise I don't update often but it's mostly bumbling along nicely. I'm sure if I have a catastrophe I will come running back to Livejournal to rue the planet Earth.
Bai!
