1. I am back. Sad sad sad. But indubitably back back back. And yes, back to work in less than six hours. How is it that I am already back to my sleeping habits of fail from pre-trip? I mean, seriously - I slept more than I have in ages on the trip. Probably got 6-7 hours a night on average, if not more, which is GOOD for me. And now here I am, ( Read more... )

Oh right back at ya! Let's hope Alice and/or Emily are doing something when I head up in January! (N2N PLEASE GOD.) More flail to ensue at that point, I'm sure.

Assuming stuff stays on track, N2N will be in DC until...I think the 18th. Hopefully.

Yeah - right now, N2N is DEFINITELY part of the plan, as long as it stays on track. I would love love LOVE to see that, if possible. And man, if Morgan Weed would go be Natalie and not just the understudy, that'd be incredible too. SUCH a fan after Saved. ;)

It'll be interesting to see what happens. They're gonna have to recast at least Brian and probably Aaron. The thought occurred to me this weekend that the guy who played Captain Walker would make a pretty good Dan...and he and Alice work well together. I think he's really more into film and TV stuff though, so boo!

Having... seen N2N, I have to say the only role I can't imagine them recasting is Alice's. I love Brian and Aaron, obviously, but I think other people COULD play their parts and it won't take THAT much away from the show. Though obviously I'd prefer if they stayed in it. But. Just. ALICE. Key part. NEEDS. to be retained. *crosses fingers for good cast*

Oh I agree. She's really the make/break on it for me. You'll see about the vocal blend with Alice and Tom when I get my ass in gear and send you the boots. It would be awesome.

I am more than insanely excited about this. :D I'm glad the headphones didn't screw up the audios too much. Pass me a track list from the playbill too so I can get the titles correct while I'm at it? :)

I will.

Well...I haven't really heard the two I did without the headphones. We'll see how those turn out. The one I did with the headphones I only have Act 2...and I'll tell you what to pull out. Because even if I'd had the whole thing,. Lisa decided to YELL to ask if I was still recording during act 2. Thanks. Thanks a lot. LOL.

Wait, so how did the headphones thing work again? Was the theatre wired so you could hear everything even if you weren't using the headphones? I can't imagine how you'd be able to record otherwise - everything would have to be done via the soundboard that way.

I'm afraid I'll have to say, for that performance, Lisa? = Fail. ;)

The headphones basically enhanced the sound (supposedly) and provided some effects like the air battle and the pinball machine. But everything was definitely still live vocally. Otherwise they would have been pantomiming.

I definitely agree. I mean, it was fail on the recording anyway because of the lack of memory. But I'd hoped for a decent Act 2. I'm afraid we shall have to settle for a decent "I Believe My Own Eyes" and "Smash the Mirror".

Hmmm. Still not sold on headphones, I think. Live theatre should connect you to the performer as directly as possible, IMO... and already they're mediated through microphones these days.

Smash The Mirror sounds like a truly truly incredible experience. Can't wait. :D
