I've been MIA for weeks and I have SO MANY things to flail about - like Castle paying GLORIOUS tribute to the X-Files this week, or part one of Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows being unexpectedly AWESOME, or Raising Hope being the best, funniest thing in my life right now - but really I need to buckle down and write out some thoughts on the last

Our arguments are practically the same. Seriously, the first half is EXACTLY what I put, minus the review from 7x06. But then you kept going and made what I wanted to say BETTER and BACKED IT UP WITH AWESOME EVIDENCE that I totally lacked lol. THANK YOU for taking the entire season into account. I feel like I should just link everyone to your recaps all the time because you put their relationship out there and analyze it so well. ♥
Seeing it from Cuddy's POV, it makes sense why she's upset. She may not be handling the problems all that well right now but that's the beauty of it. She's human like you said. That means she can screw up, she can make the situation worse BECAUSE SHE IS HUMAN. AND GOD, IF THAT HASN'T HAPPENED BEFORE THEN WHERE HAVE ALL THESE PEOPLE BEEN LIVING? Likewise, House isn't handling anything very well. He's so flippant and casual about EVERYTHING. About lying, about DYING. OMG. DYING. HEY, I'M FINE, THE SUN IS OUT AND I'M ALIVE AND CAN I BUY YOU BREAKFAST? WHAT. WHAT. WHAT. HE ALMOST DIED AGAIN.
I emphasized the dying angle more in my recap lol. My long long rant about why Cuddy should be upset and has the right to be. Because it totally brought back 97 Seconds in watching him die (remember our fics? hahaha). That's all I could think of with the dying aspect.
And word to everything else. I'd quote more but then I'd end up quoting the whole thing. This is beautiful. And argh at the line with House saying that he told them not to tell her. I was SO PISSED at that line. a;lsdjfal;skdfj;;aslkdjf But anyway, this relationship is gloriously messed up and upside down and screwed that it's awesome. They both aren't helping the situation. Love it.
In the end, it comes down to what House said after Amber died: Almost dying changes nothing, DYING changes everything. So they've gone right back to the beginning. Yes.
But yes, I'm also fearful of character assassination. Because we're not seeing Cuddy's side, I'm scared that it'll just crumble from there if they don't have her SAYING something. Anything. About her insecurities, her yelling about House's lack of care when he makes decisions when he's not alone anymore, about ANYTHING. I'm hoping next ep addresses this. If not, I might go insane over the long holiday break waiting for the next ep.
