♥. BEST. FUCKING. CONCERT. IN THE UNIVERSE. Yesterday night (I haven't slept yet and it's 6.12 in the morning), my love, my heart, my MAN - EMIL CHAU - came to town as part of his world tour. Helen Hunt, urgh times a million. I think anyone should have won over her. Honestly I LOVED that movie, liked her in it, obsessed over it... and even I could see that she wasn't acting. And even if she was, it wasn't very HARD acting, she was just being Jamie from Mad About You all over again. :P Kate should've won hands down. I'm inclined to think Halle did really good work with Monster's Ball but has proven thereafter that she has zero taste in movie roles, so her Oscar should be rescinded. :P Charlize actually IS good, as is Reese - although I don't think Reese should have won over Felicity Huffman, wtf. June Carter Cash versus a really screwed-up transgendered woman with kid issues?! FELICITY HANDS DOWN. It's the prettiness > deserving part that annoys me. If they're pretty AND deserving, like Charlize, I'm good with that.
Good thing Kate's ALSO pretty. So they can reward her for her beauty when it's really her talent that should matter. :P

I dug Felicity. Do I think she should have won? I don't know. I was happy with Reese, but I didn't like the movie Transamerica all that much. But, I guess I'm rooting for Kate Winslet to win for a movie I didn't care for either, so I shouldn't let that bias me.
Pretty much yes re: Kate. Beauty, talent, same difference right? (KIDDING.) Love how after Helen Mirren won all of a sudden the whole world thought she was hot.
