So I just found this article, a couple days out dated, saying that eating too much buttered popcorn is dangerous to your health...duh! artery clogging goodness? NO, apperently you can get a lung disease, bronchiolitis obliterans or “popcorn workers’ lung,” by inhaling vaporised diacetyl, the chemical that makes it taste so good. Some 53 yr old guy got it, they think from microwaving too much buttered popcorn in his home over a long period of time...twice a day for more than 10 years! oof da, he's lucky to be alive, says I. When doctors made him stop, he lost 50 lbs and his lungs are getting a little better. ConAgra says its product is safe for normal, everyday use, but plans to remove diacetyl from its product "in the near future."
Folks if you consume any single product (especially a processed one!?) twice a day for 10 years, expect results. Just a thought.
