Im trying to get this paper online. Edits were fine, but going through the html (very slow) I realized some important things about the sources. 3 were not cited in the paper at all and 1 in the paper was not cited in the references. it was funny because it was (WHO, 2002) and I had (WHO, 2003) and (WHO, 2005). SO I emailed her for clarification and she said, oh its supposed to be (WHO, 2004)...what is? pin, pong, ping, pong all day. such a waste!
Number 2 irritating writer was much worse. This guy submitted an article to be published in our journal...and then submitted it to an online publication. So we emailed him and said, bad writer! we shall have to make some changes to make it different because our ppl read that online journal. SO yours truly spent untold man hours editing and adding (we upgraded it from a "box" to a "commentary") to make it different, cleaned it all up...and it appeared on another online pub, this one a pretty prominent one. Glad I check the news, eh? So, the boss says ADD MORE, change the title! Did so, sent it to him for approval...EAH! No, he sent back all our additions (carefully bolded so he could see and change what we had added) in a pasted word doc and said he was withdrawing the article. Its especially frustrating because this is the SECOND article he has withdrawn this year (in the 8 year history of the forum, we've never had one withdrawn)! The first one, he asked our Chinese scholar to give her opinion on, she said she had never heard of these things happening in China, and he was offended. GAH! So now, I have ANOTHER article to write for this pub on top of all the editing and the 20 pg one that is 10 pages because I havnt had time for it yet!!! STUPID OLD CRUSTY MAN! whew, glad I got that off my chest. back to work.
