How to Overreach Yourself in Ten Easy Steps
1.) Sign up to rec for Calufrax starting May the 26th. Vow to rec odd pairings/unusual premises and all or mostly authors that haven't been "discovered" there before. Watch from week to week as the impossibility of this approaches 1.
2.) Remember that the TARDIS Big Bang deadline is May the 31st. Take on a number of stories, anyway.
3.) Greedily grab not one, but two rare pair days, one of which has very little fic and the other of which doesn't properly exist yet, both of which will therefore require fic, meta, picspam, and/or icons, one date being in May and the other in June, even though you get this paralyzing inertia as soon as you form the idea "I shall write a story," because deadlines will magically make you do it, anyway.
4.) Volunteer to write stuff for another rare pair date, also in May.
5.) Sign up for the Sixathon. Misunderstand due date, even though same is quite clearly indicated, and volunteer to pinch-hit in the blithe assumption that these fics are due on 4 July.
6.) Give two full recitals in the next two months.
7.) Keep up with theoretical reading and repertoire.
8.) Watch 80-lb dog catch bug, get sick, and pass it on to the 200-lb dog.
9.) Work a full-time job.
10.) Voila!
All of which is to say, going Internets AWOL for the next few days. tardis_bigbang betaees, you have first priority, obviously, so if you don't see any sign of my continued existence for awhile, fear not. Definitely feel free to e-mail me, though.
