Where to begin?
Finally saw the latest episode of Criminal Minds. I was expecting to enjoy this episode. I started off enjoying this episode, actually, the usual cringe-inducing scenes aside. I started off really enjoying Hotch, which, as you may know, is not the norm for me.
But my, oh, my did that all crash and burn by the end.
I won't go into all the abundant causes right now, because it is late. And because I can barely form coherent sentences. But meta is coming, and it may be the most pissed-off meta I've ever produced for this show. Competition could only come from my reactions to the last seasons' handling of Hotch's faux-"dilemma" in re: his son.
Because, you know what, CM? Making an episode about serial rapists all about not the victim's personhood and violation but instead about the manpain of everyone who perpetrated and/or tacitly condoned the underlying attitudes is not okay.
Really, it isn't.
