7-11 has my number...
Right, so this morning, I stopped at 7-11 for some orange tea because my throat was scratchy. They were setting up a display for their new Gundam promotion. It had Char Cheetos. How cute, I thought. Perhaps I shall return and buy some later.
Tonight, I Kouhai and I went to dinner across the street from 7-11. Afterwards, I thought, "Well, I need more juice and tissues. I think I'll stop at 7-11 and pick up some Char Cheetos too." So I went back.
The display expanded to include all kinds of merch, including an official 7-11 Gunpla model which I didn't buy. I instead got my Char cheetos and Char chocolates... also a Char Custom Instant Curry Mug... and a Zeon Day Planner... and GUNDAM TISSUES! I need tissues, guys...Also "Tobe, Gundam!" was playing in midi form in the background the whole time. That's just enough to push my weak willpower over the edge.
Then I see they're doing another 500 yen raffle like they did with Kamen Rider. Now Kamen Rider got me in trouble a lot. I got a ton of Faiz crap. But there are lots of Kamen Riders that I'm not a fan of. I like all the mecha on Gundam. Surely, it'd be fine to try one raffle.
No, I get a Haro the cheerfully creepy robot mug. Slipped the fish, I tell you. Maybe I'll give it to M-chan for Christmas.
I then got my orange juice and checked out with a total of 3000 yen... Kouhai likes Gundam, but was still a bit wide-eyed at my impusle fan spending. I am too honestly. But the mug came with ZakuII curry... and the day planner came with tattoos. And I eat cheetos and chocolate...
On the plus side spending 3000 yen got me 4 raffle tickets which won a pudding and a coffee. I'm a winner. Really.
