Meme Answers and General updateness
The week has not gotten off to too bad a start. Yesterday I got to work with Natsumi who just got back from the V6 concert. I asked her how it was and she just couldn't get any words out of her mouth in English or Japanese. Just a lot of "Mou... Mou... Very Very handsome!" She also brought me omiyage from Fukuoka by which I was pretty touched. She and Izumi came to deliver it with a prepared speech.
Natsumi: "Yesterday, I went to Fukuoaka. Do you like blueberry or vanilla?"
Izumi: Strawberry!
Natsumi: Vanilla!
Izumi: (in Japanese): I ate the vanilla!
Natsumi: (also in Also in Japanese) You ate the strawberry!
It was in fact vanilla, so Natsumi was right. They're good girls.
Today was my first day teaching at Takaharu and sadly my favorite teacher decided to take early maternity leave due to swine flu. Luckily I got to meet her sub today who I've met via some international club events already, and she's a pretty nice gal with excellent English, so that helps. I don't have to teach my class of pain till tomorrow, so I'm still in a good mood.
I made an avocado spread for a sandwich for dinner using my new potato masher I brought back from the states. I never knew mashing avocado would give me such a sense of pleasure... but it was so easy! Japan fails at mashing, guys.

They actually don't have a lot of wall space on account of I didn't bring much tennis merch with me, and I haven't purchased much here on account of Konomi losing what few marbles he had left. What merch I do have is rather spread out.
What? The Kodomo Soul T-shirt is quite comfy. And I spilled some tea on it so I can't wear it for a regular shirt any more. Luckily I got one of the new versions to replace it.
