The bright spot in a dark day
Den-o Decade Movie May 1st according to this week's Decade. With Chou Den-o form.
Is it just me or is Kiva more... glittery. I don't remember Kiva glittering so much.
I really have no idea what Decade was doing with their Kiva arc. I mean... okay alternate universe ... Wataru's a child still. So is his dad still Otoya? The old guy is supposed to be Otoya? What was the point again? I didn't think Kiva made much sense, but Decade is making it look positively linear.
I guess maybe similar issues occurred with KuugaWorld, but I've never seen Kuuga and I'm betting most of the current KR audience hasn't either. Most of Kuuga's fans have probably outgrown KR but aren't old enough to have children of KR supporting age group, so they're fine messing around with it. But Kiva... that was last season. Kids can remember last season. Maybe they're counting on the fact that nobody else understood Kiva either to get away with this sorta weird au. And what the hell is with the pink bat? Can somebody swat it? It better as hell not stay on the show. I hates it.
I'm still really disturbed by turning the riders into weapons. It's that kimochi warui thing Ryuutaros mentioned the first time they went Climax Form. Kimochi warui, Tsukasa... Why don't any of the riders smack him and say don't you ever do that again? That's what I'd do...
But yeah the rest of the day... passed. I'm still coughing even though there's nothing in my lungs to cough up and it's getting really annoying. Due to some rescheduling, I get to teach one whole class tomorrow, and I'd like to be able to speak during it. Ironically, the new chapter we'll be starting is entitled, "I feel sick..." Well actually the title is, "What's wrong with you?" but I suggested maybe that wasn't a very good title, so we're going with the "I feel sick" textbook instead.
