A Timely Visit from Confucius

My current 'Home Improvement Project' is refinishing our wood deck. It's an arduous process necessitating cleaning & scrubbing, pressure-washing, and staining. I've been beginning to wonder if I'll ever see the end. (...and also wondering why I ever decided to tackle this project instead of hiring someone.)

I have accumulated a good bit of 'vacation time' at work so I've been taking some half-days off to work on the deck. On Friday I left the office at noon to go home and stain deck boards. When I got to my car in the office parking lot I noticed something odd - a piece of paper laying on the car floor covering the gas pedal. I'm quite sure it hadn't been there earlier. When I picked the piece of paper up I saw it had something printed on it ... it said:"It doesn't matter how slow you go as long as you don't quit!" - Confucius
Wow .. how appropriate! It was just the timely bit of wisdom I needed to keep me energized. :)

Oh, it seems that Confucius spent some time in my car ... the settings on my radio were changed. Apparently Confucius enjoys listening to 'National Public Radio'.
